I Guess You Had Your Reasons
It's not over until you say goodbye
But then you did and cut our tie
I wasn't ready and I don't think I'll ever be
But apparently I wasn't the girl you wanted to see
You said it wasn't fair to put me in that position
But maybe it'd be different if instead, you chose to listen
I know I didn't have a fighting chance
But you didn't even take a second glance
You didn't see us working out
But how could you ever doubt
If you didn't get to know me for who I am
When every opportunity and it's door, you slammed
Maybe one day you'll realize that I'll be more than enough
You'll put down your walls and admit your disinterest was only a bluff

I Know You're Gonna Leave Soon
You're so different when you look into my eyes
I feel nothing but comfort and see no lies
Hold me tight when you're around
"I want you" is just a silent sound
Your smiles and laughs make me feel alive
Your absence leaves me feeling deprived
I can't decide if it's just a game for two
But if it ended I still wouldn't have a clue
I've told you once and I've told you twice
So in my presence you've been nothing but nice
Say it out loud, admit that you're wrong
That hiding your feelings won't last very long
I question your motives, but I hold you, still
If this isn't worth my patience, I'll still stay, I will

The barking became louder as I padded across the yard. Damp grass that smelled of morning dew crunched under my paws as I went. The sharp scent of a stray wafted through the wood fence of the yard as a gust of chilling wind flattened my floppy ears back against my head.
As I neared the fence I heard a soft yelp in excitement and the stir of leaves by the vigorous wagging of a stubby tail.
“Hello,” barked a soft voice.
I leaned forward to be surprised by the touch of a wet nose against my nose. It's owner shyly pulled away and pawed at the ground nervously.
“What do you want,” I growled, the fur on my nape
Her slightly parted lips seemed to call me, as if with a silent scream. I couldn’t resist them, and it wasn’t the first time. They usually caught my eye and allowed my thoughts to wander freely, up till my blood flowed out of my brain and it was hard to think at all. Her breasts heaved heavily, maybe a little bit too fast; I couldn’t help but remember the last time they heaved in exactly the same manner. Except then, she was lying on a bed, in the messy sheets, with her face reddened, looking at me from lowered eyelids, too tired to say anything. Now her eyelids were shut tight, her face terrifyingly pale. Instead of a bed,

The Day the Water Came/ Pray
A Double Poem thingy by Austin S.
The day the water came,
I was sitting on the sidewalk.
Reading a book full of ancient lies.
At first I though it was from the cold,
But it was as the book foretold.
There would be a mighty shake and then many would die.
The day the water came.
But as the buildings started falling,
I knew there was no stalling
Mother Nature when she was in a rage.
A piece of wall hit me in the head,
It hurt so bad I thought I was dead.
Then my eyes open and I saw my blood was on the page.
The day the water came.
